I am a wanderer. I am a teacher. I am a writer. And I am writing a novel, one experience and one challenge at a time. I write in the mountains where I draw most of my inspiration. I live in the mountains as I write myself deeper into their folds. I write ink that becomes stone, that becomes sky, what falls and defines the space I fold within. I believe that poetics is a social art, an art of touch, an art of memory, and an art of healing. I believe that education invites us to participate in the mysterious process by which an experience becomes knowledge, that process by which we translate our vision of the world into language, extending it out to become something in the world. I am a graduate of Naropa University's MFA program in Writing and Poetics, and a graduate of the College of Wooster. I have lived, worked and studied across the world, encompassing countless vocabularies within my prose. I am a woman, a wife, a sister, a friend, a teacher, a mentor, and a relentless dreamer. I write to write to tell a story, to make a connection, to touch and to be touched back. I am fascinated by touch, by dance, by movement. And I am moved by what I am becoming every time I turn a page and assume a new space to fill. View all posts by The End Road
